What a blessing this morning was! It would appear that there are some new faces in downtown Chattanooga. Today I had the pleasure of sharing the Gospel with three Jehovah’s Witnesses. Two of the gentlemen I spoke with were very pleasant and I hope to speak with them again soon. We discussed salvation through faith – The Jehovah Witness believes in a work righteous system to obtain salvation. So it was a great talk. Next was another Witness, Ms. Duke. I tried my best to introduce her to God’s law (The Commandments) but she wasn’t willing to admit she ever lied, stolen, blasphemed, or lusted so I tried to convince her that only through God’s grace can you be saved. (Eph 2:8,9) Please pray for my Jehovah Witness friends Ms.Duke, Ervin and Walter.
Next was Erica at the bus stop. She answered all my questions but you could tell that she would have rather had the bus run over her than sit with this silly Christian boy and talk about Jesus. Finally I spoke to Lisa. Once she found out that I wanted to talk to her about the Lord she had no interest at all. When I asked her why she did not want to give God a chance she replied with “Well, I’m not going to force myself to believe in God.” I asked, “What if God revealed himself to you? Would you believe then?” Sure she said. Then I began to tell her about how God has revealed himself through Creation and how that just by existing she is a marvelous miracle of God’s work. I don’t know, but it was a nice way to have her to pause and think of the Lord without being too terribly pushy. To God be all the glory for the things He has done..
