Who Would Deny a Million Bucks?

This morning I thought I might try something a little different downtown. You see, in about a 3 block area there is an “elite” $$$ part of downtown. I decided to park close by and attempt to pass out gospel tracts. They were a tough crowd. Most people didn’t even want the MDB tracts. I couldn’t believe it! I also brought some EvangelismTeam.com tracts with me, (100 Places to see before you die) and they took those. I had to push a little but some took them. After about 45 frustrating minutes I walked about 4 blocks to my normal “fishing” place. I was able to pass out much more tracts there. After I handed a 19 year old young man a MDB he began to make conversation with me so I took it from there. I’ve started using this intro from Ray Comfort and it works great….

Let’s say an asteroid is heading for Earth. It’s going to wipe out every human on the planet. You have 24 hours to live. What would you do?

Depending on their answer…If they answer with something bad I say “Would you conscience bother you if you did that?” Or if they answer with something about cleaning up their act I say “Would your conscience tell you to straighten up?” And I just go with it from there. So far I have used this two times and both of them answered with “I would pray and go to church”. Wow! What a good way to help people on their eyes.

Anyway, Courtney and I have a very good conversation this morning. He knew that he had sinned against God and without any persuasion on my part admitted that he was headed for Hell. So I talked about how God is a just Judge and that Jesus would forgive him if he went to the Lord on God’s terms. I so hope and pray for this young man. I don’t know about you guys but the more I witness the more the Holy Spirit convicts me that I need to do more to reach His lost sheep. Thanks and God bless..
