Lately I’ve been reading “The Collapse of Evolution” by Scott M. Huse. I finally finished it the other day. What a great book! So as I headed downtown this morning I decided to ask a total of 15 people the following 4 questions:
1. Where did we come from? (As a human race, a species)
2. Why are you here? (What is the purpose of life)
3. How do you live while you are here? (What is the standard to live by)
4. Where are you going when you die?
Once I received their answers I gave them the tract “The World’s Ten Most Popular Things” which is pictured here. Out of the total of the 15 people I spoke with this morning only 1 believed in evolution. After I asked him the four questions I followed up with “Why do you believe in evolution?”
He said, “You told me you only had 4 questions and that makes five.” So, I politely continued “True, so may I ask you another question?” I took his moan as a yes and I asked the question again.
He replied with “I believe in evolution because of science.”
“Do you have anything scientifically specific?” I asked.
To which he said “Not that I would like to share with you”. Fair enough. So I put one of the Gospel tracts in his hand and off he went. It was really cool to see what people think about evolution. In all the witnessing that I have done I have only had 1 person who militantly believed in this theory. What has your experience been? Please do tell. Thank you and God bless!!
Ty
