Test Your Knowledge of the Book of Mormon
Below is a link to an online test to explore the depth of knowledge that you have in the Book of Mormon. Good luck and let me know how you do. God bless!
The Book of Mormon does not claim to be a comprehensive declaration of the doctrines of our faith. We claim it to be the "Corner Stone" of our faith because it fulfills two main purposes - to testify of the divine mission of the Savior Jesus Christ and to provide evidence of the prophetic call of the Prophet Joseph Smith. You continue to assume we operate under the same false doctrine that you do, namely that all truth is contained in the scriptures. If the leadership of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints lost the prophetic mantel, as the saints in the early Christian church did, when all the Apostles were killed, the apostasy that occurred in the early church would occur just the same now, even with the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine of Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price. No amount of scripture can keep mankind from apostatizing without the added authority and revelation of a living prophet. If you avoid reading the Book of Mormon because you fear it will be full of doctrines contrary to that of the Bible you might be surprised. In fact more of our doctrines are taught in the Bible than the Book of Mormon.
Ah, Ty, that was much too easy. I was expecting a quiz about the negative confession formula used in Mosiah 2 or at the very least a "who said it?" type of quiz. I can't help but feel a little competitive when it comes to Book of Mormon facts, so I was genuinely excited about that. It let me down, just a little though.
Anywho, thanks for your comment on my blog. Stop by any time, and I'll try to do the same for you.
