As Christians we know that we are saved
(Eph 2:8,9). But from what have we been saved? Someone might answer – sin. Nope. What do I mean by that? Sin wasn’t after you. Sin wasn’t going to throw you into Hell. You have sinned, but the sin caused something else. Sin cannot pursue you. Sin isn’t even a person. Sin is not a living being that is going to judge you and condemn you
(Matt 25:31-46). I ask again, from what have you been saved? This might really shock you. From what you have been saved is not a what, it is a who. You have been saved from God. God is the just Judge of the universe and one day He will judge the world in righteousness
(Acts 17:30,31), His standard not ours. When we catch but a glimpse of the horrors that face the unsaved on the other side of eternity we must do something. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge
(Prov 1:7). The apostle Paul even wrote “knowing the terror of the Lord we persuade men”
(1 Cor 5:11). Let that fear work for you as you reach out in love to others. Further the kingdom and tell someone of the risen King today!
